About the event
PathMakers help students, families, educators and administrators forge student-centered special education paths that are transparent, equitable and navigable. YOU can be a part of a core group who will contribute to the design and development of the program, learning the basic tools and gaining experience in facilitating communication, collaboration, and creative problem solving.
Many of the perceived problems in special education result from a lack of proactive communication, insufficient focus on the student as an individual, and an under appreciation for the challenges educators face in a complex and demanding system.
No ongoing commitment is required, though we do hope that at the end of the program, you will consider becoming an ongoing contributor! Come check it out and invite anyone you know who has a passion for special education.
